Terms and Conditions

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE: Week long lets are generally Saturday to Saturday, but please do contact us if you wish to alter the start and end dates. Whether you are visiting us for a short break or a week, we do request that you arrive after 3.00pm on your day of arrival and ensure that you vacate the apartment by 10.00am on the day of departure. Please telephone with an approximate time of arrival, particularly if you know this will be much later than 3.00pm, so that we can arrange to meet you and hand over the keys.
DEPOSIT: Booking confirmation is secured by a non-returnable deposit of £50.00 payable to E C & K Horton within a week of telephone or email booking. The balance is due four weeks prior to the holiday date. Holidays booked within four weeks of holiday date should be paid for in full at the time of booking.Payment can be made by bank transfer. – please enquire
CANCELLATION Should you wish to cancel your holiday, maximum notice would be appreciated. If you do have to cancel please advise us immediately and we will endeavour to re-let the apartment and return any monies due to you. If the accommodation remains unoccupied, we are entitled to retain your deposit and ask for further payment to compensate us for our loss. We would recommend that cancellation protection insurance be taken out at the time of booking.
All charges for electricity, central heating, general and water rates and television are included in the rent. Bed linen and towels are also included. Use of the owners’ washing machine can be arranged.
INSURANCE: the property is insured by the landlords. The tenants are responsible for the insurance of their own contents. You are requested not to do, or permit anything to be done which might make void the insurance of the landlord, or occasion an increase in premium. Any increase in premium due to the tenant’s actions may be charged directly against them.
BREAKAGES: All articles that are damaged, broken or lost should be notified immediately; while we do not expect minor items to be paid for, malicious damage will not be tolerated. Please do not replace any broken items without prior agreement.
The apartment should be left in a clean and tidy condition. We request that you undertake to keep furniture and fabrics in the same condition that they were found.
PARTY SIZE The number of people occupying the apartment shall be no greater than five without prior consent. We reserve the right to terminate your stay if you or members of your party are believed to be causing a nuisance or are not treating the property with due respect.
DOGS must not be allowed on the furniture or beds, or be left in the apartment unattended. We suggest you bring their pet baskets. It is the owner’s responsibility to clear up any mess that they create and dispose of it. On no account should dogs be allowed to worry our sheep when they are grazing in our fields.
ACCESS The owners reserve the right to enter to the apartment during the stay after giving at least 24 hours notice, for the purpose of inspection and repair. (In cases of real emergency the requirement of notice need not be complied with)
CAR PARKING you must park cars in the designated parking space as instructed. For most of the year one undercover space is available: there is adequate off road parking for tenants and your guests
RISK The owners cannot accept liability for loss, damage, or injury to the hirer’s property, vehicles, pets etc., or for personal injury, howsoever caused.
SHORTCOMINGS: please notify us as soon as possible of any shortcomings so that prompt remedial action can be taken
The owners reserve the right to cancel any booking if it subsequently transpires that any of the above mentioned conditions have not been observed.
